Computer Laptop Donation Project

How you can help

The The SC Digital Resource Alliance, in partnership with Palmetto Goodwill, seeks  to provide 2000 laptops to K-12 students in Title 1 schools in South Carolina.

The goal of the project is to help achieve South Carolina’s Digital Opportunity Plan’s device availability goal that every resident of South Carolina can access a desktop or laptop computer at home or in an accessible location.

This is only possible with the support of our corporate partners donating their used laptops to us to be refurbished for the students.

Strategic partnerships lead to success

To help achieve this goal, SC Digital Resource Alliance is inviting businesses to donate surplus laptops to the coalition. Palmetto Goodwill will refurbish donated laptops and provide a new hard drive made possible by generous funding provided by Comcast.

SC Digital Resource Alliance will be coordinating with schools to distribute the laptops at their school events. More details will be posted here and via the LinkedIn Page.

Next Steps:

Once your form is submitted, an LDEC representative will confirm receipt and make the arrangements for pick-up or drop-off of the donated laptops, whichever is preferable to your organization.
